About NOTZLEPT
Sleep is rarely just one thing.
If you’ve ever been exhausted but unable to switch your brain off, woken up at 3AM for no obvious reason, or slept for eight hours and still felt completely drained, you already know how frustrating sleep can be.
And somehow, there’s always someone ready with a single explanation.
It’s cortisol.
It’s hormones.
It’s stress.
It’s your age.
You need melatonin.
You need magnesium.
Sometimes one of those things may matter. Sometimes several do. And sometimes the answer is somewhere else entirely.
That’s why NOTZLEPT exists.
We look at the whole picture
NOTZLEPT is an independent sleep wellness publication created to make complicated sleep topics easier to understand.
We explore the questions people actually ask when sleep stops feeling simple:
- Why am I exhausted but still can’t sleep?
- Why do I keep waking up in the middle of the night?
- Why does my mind suddenly switch on at bedtime?
- Why do I wake up tired even after sleeping?
- Can hormones affect my sleep?
- Could my environment, habits, pillow, light or noise be part of the problem?
Our goal isn’t to give you one convenient answer.
It’s to help you understand the possibilities, recognize patterns and make better-informed decisions about what may be worth trying next.
Clear information. No miracle claims.
Sleep advice online can quickly become overwhelming.
We aim to make it simpler without pretending it’s simple.
That means we don’t believe every 3AM wake-up is automatically cortisol. We don’t assume every midlife sleep problem is only about menopause. And we don’t believe one supplement, routine or sleep hack is the answer for everyone.
Instead, we look at context.
We explain what the evidence suggests, what remains uncertain, what may be worth considering and when a sleep problem deserves professional attention.
How we approach recommendations
Sometimes our content includes products, tools or services that may help with a particular sleep-related problem.
When we recommend or discuss products, we aim to explain:
- what the product actually is;
- who it may be useful for;
- its potential advantages and limitations;
- what available evidence can and cannot tell us;
- alternatives worth considering.

What NOTZLEPT is not
NOTZLEPT is not a medical provider and does not diagnose or treat sleep disorders.
Our content is intended for general educational and informational purposes. Persistent sleep problems, breathing difficulties during sleep, severe daytime sleepiness or other concerning symptoms should be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.
Better questions lead to better decisions
You don’t need another person telling you to “just relax.”
You need better questions.
What changed?
What pattern keeps repeating?
What factors could be contributing?
What have you already tried?
What actually makes sense for your situation?
That’s the approach behind everything we publish.
Look at the pattern before you blame the cause.
